Dr. Serafin Salazar was born and grew up in Southern California. He attended the University of California at Irvine where he first received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences followed by his Medical Degree. In 1995 he began his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Fresno Campus of the University of California, San Francisco. During his second year of training he met a pediatrician in training who he married.

After completing their residencies, Dr. Salazar and Dr. Alma Salazar moved back to Southern California and started a family. They settled in Riverside in 2003 and practiced medicine with other community physicians prior to starting their own medical practices. Dr. Salazar opened his own office in 2008 next to Parkview Community Hospital where he recently completed a three year term as Department Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He merged practices with Dr. Ojeda in 2013 in their current location.

Dr. Salazar enjoys performing surgery and the close ties he has developed with his patients and their families over the years. In his spare time he likes to hunt, snowboard and scuba.
